About
Nearly native New Yorker, raised on baloney sandwiches, Yodell’s and library books. Childhood favorites: Nancy Drew mysteries, Anne of Green Gables, Mrs. Piggle Wiggle, James and the Giant Peach, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Graduate of Yale and the Medill School of Journalism. Alum of the San Francisco Bay Guardian, the Greenville News and Forbes. Married, living in Brooklyn, two kids. Wrote a picture book as a lark and discovered writing for kids was fun, challenging, endlessly absorbing. Currently fine-tuning a MG novel. When I’m not writing or reading, I’m cooking, doing the crossword, playing B tennis, and helping to raise awareness about two amazing nonprofits, Family Dynamics/SCO and Harlem Educational Activities Fund.
Hey, Alexandra. Because you’re a blogger I’ve been enjoying a lot, I have nominated you for a Liebster Award! If you don’t know it, it’s sort of a chain-letter award bloggers give to other bloggers they really like. If you accept, you can find the rules by visiting 2000detours.com and reading my post, “I’ve Been Nominated for a Liebster!” It calls out you and a few other of my favorite bloggers. Keep writing!
You’ve made my day! Thank you so very much!
Karen, I loved your post so much, it will be hard to follow. Are you suggesting I answer the same questions?
